HCUP Central Distributor SAS Load Programs - State

SAS load programs are available for State databases purchased through the HCUP Central Distributor. The load programs are provided in SAS format and there is one SAS load program for each data file. SAS load programs are provided by State, by year, by database type. A zip file containing the SAS load programs for current and/or previous versions of databases and years is also provided. The amount of time it takes to access a file depends on your machine, browser and Internet connection.

Data year specific notes:

Starting with data year 2021, the SAS load programs for the AHA Linkage Files are included in the zip file with the AHA Linkage File and available for download from the main AHA Linkage File page with the following exception, load programs for IA, MN, and NE will be included in the files provided by the Central Distributor.
If using 2009 SID, please refer to Known Data Issues regarding change in available data elements (2009 SID Multiple States).
Prior to data year 2000, SAS informats were not always included in the SAS load program. They are available for download in a separate informat program.
