Cost-to-Charge Ratio Files
The HCUP Cost-to-Charge Ratio (CCR) Files are hospital-level files designed to supplement the data elements in HCUP inpatient and emergency department databases. The CCR files can be linked with the SID, NIS, KID, and NRD beginning with 2001 data and the SEDD and NEDS beginning with 2012 data. The CCR Files are part of a family of databases and software tools developed as part of the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP), a Federal-State-Industry partnership sponsored by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. HCUP databases, tools, and software inform decision making at the national, State, and community levels.
Cost-to-Charge Ratio for Inpatient Files
CCR for Inpatient Files facilitate estimating resource costs of inpatient care for NIS, KID, NRD, and SID beginning with data year 2001.
Cost-to-Charge Ratio for Emergency Department Files
CCR for ED Files facilitate estimating resource costs of emergency department care for SEDD and NEDS beginning with data year 2012.
How Can Users Obtain HCUP Cost-to-Charge Ratio Files?
