HOSP_MHSCLUSTER is the system cluster code used by the American Hospital Association that categorizes hospital systems based on how much the system differentiates and centralizes its hospital services, physician arrangements, and insurance products. The values range from 1 for centralized health systems to 5 for independent health systems. |
