Nominations are now being accepted for the HCUP Award for Outstanding Research, which will recognize researchers published in peer-reviewed journals during January 1, 2021–June 30, 2022, who used the HCUP databases to explore and address healthcare issues with policy or clinical relevance. Work honored will demonstrate how HCUP has contributed to the healthcare services research field.

Researchers may self-nominate or be nominated by another individual (e.g., a colleague of the author or authors). One nomination per author/individual/research group will be accepted. For those nominating an individual, please notify the author. Winners will be notified via email by April 21, 2023.

Posters on the chosen articles will be produced on the authors’ behalf and displayed during the 2023 AcademyHealth Annual Research Meeting (ARM), which will be held June 25–27, 2023 in Seattle, Washington. Recipients will be honored during an HCUP session. Complimentary meeting registration for the event will be provided by AcademyHealth. Up to two awards will be given. The nomination period will be open from Monday, October 17, 2022 through Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
