DURATION - Elapsed Time for Hospital Care in Hours and Minutes

DURATION includes the time in hours and minutes for hospital-based care. It is calculated from the admission date (ADATE) and hour (AHOUR) to the discharge date (DDATE) and hour (DHOUR). All four data elements must have valid values to calculate DURATION.
