South Carolina

South Carolina reports days in the ICU and CCU combined. This information is stored in the HCUP data element DaysICU. Use the detail charges (CHGn) to determine if the ICU, CCU, or both units were utilized. If both units were utilized, it is not possible to determine the number of days in each unit.
