TMDXn indicates whether each diagnosis (DXn) was present at admission. This provides an indicator of complications arising during a hospitalization. If there is a time of onset for which no diagnosis code is present, TMDXn is set to missing (.). Beginning in the 1998 data, this data element is called DXatAdmitn. |
